Accomodation

Choose the right accommodation – Just as the location and park facilities vary widely, so too does the type of accommodation on offer! The three main types are Static Caravans, Luxury Lodges and Log Cabins. For all intents and purposes we can categorise Lodges and Cabins as the same thing.
Static Caravans are, nowadays, a far cry from the caravans of 20 years ago. They are now more like a luxury apartment and are fitted with all mod cons. They all offer electricity and gas and, of course, mains water and sewerage. However, depending on the park a variety of styles and layouts may be offered. These range from modern, clean, basic caravans with comfortable seating and beds to top of the range luxury units with en-suite bathrooms, satellite TV, central heating and plenty of space to relax. Static caravans come in two main widths and this affects the layout. They are available in 10ft and 12ft widths – It may not sound a lot but it has quite a large effect! The major difference is, usually, in the kitchen. 10ft wide caravans tend to have a narrow “galley” kitchen situated in the corridor connecting the living space to the bedrooms. 12ft wide caravans tend to have a large, square open kitchen and dining room. If you plan to cook and eat family meals together then a 12ft wide van may be a better option.
Lodges and Cabins tend to be wooden structures that are more like a luxury bungalow in layout. They often include a garden area and some are even available with some luxury features such as an outdoor Jacuzzi!
